The BA Lone Working Group has been set up to help those booksellers who frequently work alone. It’s intended to be a self-help group, and will be primarily operate as a closed Facebook Group as a place for booksellers to communicate with others facing similar challenges. Booksellers should feel free to come to the Group with questions, concerns, or just for a chat with a like-minded booksellers. The BA has set up the Group in response to the increasing number of booksellers who are operating without full time supporting staff, to share experiences and advice or to bounce ideas of someone in a similar situation.

The BA will also host a monthly Lone Working Group drop-in Zoom call in the evenings to maximise the number of booksellers who are able to attend, after work – booksellers should feel free to come along to this ad hoc.
